So tomorrow I'm having a little tiny birthday party for my little girl! It's not her birthday yet but I tried to have a small get-together of some of her closest friends/family. I'll post pics tomorrow!
I'm all about some DIY and so I did that. I just love creative stuff and I'm the creative girl so there ya are! I originally wanted to draw my own line art drawings and make a coloring book for each child but I got behind on that (and I'm still trying to master the fine art of line art) so I just printed off pages from the computer (coloring book pages) and tried to match up what I knew from each child and what they liked. I knew one boy was really into Star Wars and Cars (the movie) so I put a couple of those pictures in there for him and did the same for another boy (but I wasn't really sure what he liked so I added sports pictures too for him to color). Other girls I did their favorite Disney princess/barbie/mermaids/fairies/unicorns just whatever I knew the person liked. For the younger ones I added a mix of their favorite tv shows and some easier to color pictures. I then made the back and cover and titled it something like "Jane Doe's Coloring Book" and let Chloe decorate it. Each child had a different colored book (as well as their bags and name tags). They also had a box of Crayola crayons, a pencil, and a glue stick. Hey, school is getting ready to start so these can be very handy! Plus I think the whole idea is great for a ride home! We also made homemade yellow white chocolate star candy lollipops for their bags. I made their name tags and everything. They are so festive!
I took the image of a cake my mom and I saw online (a cupcake-cake) and did my own design.
Chloe still LOVES Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and so again this was her theme. The cake turned out great! Pics will posted soon!
