{Birthday Party}

So tomorrow I'm having a little tiny birthday party for my little girl!  It's not her birthday yet but I tried to have a small get-together of some of her closest friends/family.  I'll post pics tomorrow!

I'm all about some DIY and so I did that.  I just love creative stuff and I'm the creative girl so there ya are!  I originally wanted to draw my own line art drawings and make a coloring book for each child but I got behind on that (and I'm still trying to master the fine art of line art) so I just printed off pages from the computer (coloring book pages) and tried to match up what I knew from each child and what they liked.  I knew one boy was really into Star Wars and Cars (the movie) so I put a couple of those pictures in there for him and did the same for another boy (but I wasn't really sure what he liked so I added sports pictures too for him to color).  Other girls I did their favorite Disney princess/barbie/mermaids/fairies/unicorns just whatever I knew the person liked.  For the younger ones I added a mix of their favorite tv shows and some easier to color pictures.  I then made the back and cover and titled it something like "Jane Doe's Coloring Book" and let Chloe decorate it.  Each child had a different colored book (as well as their bags and name tags).  They also had a box of Crayola crayons, a pencil, and a glue stick.  Hey, school is getting ready to start so these can be very handy!  Plus I think the whole idea is great for a ride home!  We also made homemade yellow white chocolate star candy lollipops for their bags.  I made their name tags and everything.  They are so festive!

I took the image of a cake my mom and I saw online (a cupcake-cake) and did my own design.

Chloe still LOVES Ariel (The Little Mermaid) and so again this was her theme.  The cake turned out great!  Pics will posted soon!

Don't forget, if you would like to buy some Mary Kay please visit my website!  I'd love to be your consultant!  Also check out my blog that I started recently about Mary Kay: Pretty in Pink.

Great days!

So, it's been a while since I've posted or even had a blog, but hey, I'm back!  The summer has been great!  I'm currently working for Mary Kay --my MK blog-- (as of this past Thursday) and I can't be more thrilled!  They have such wonderful products and I'm all about skincare!

So, my daughter and I have had a really wonderful past two days!  Yesterday we started it by going to church (as usual) and I sang in the Praise Team.  My wonderful team member (also a Mary Kay consultant) sang a solo and was amazing!  God is good!  We then went to our Sunday school classes and afterwards headed home.  We took it easy from there.  I think little missy and I are getting colds or having some allergy issues b/c my chest has been stressing for air and she's been constantly "cold" and tired (which is not my little princess who is always hot).  So, I took a nap because I was exausted.  We then set up the kitchen and made yummy Chocolate Chip cookies (Chloe's favorites) and I brought some over to our 75 year old neighboor and visited her.  Gloria, our neighbor, is so sweet and I had a wonderful time getting to know her and she discussed wanting to have our family over for dinner and lemonaid one evening.  She's the sweetest!  Chloe and I then went with my mom and dad (this never happens, dad coming with us) to the pool and enjoyed my little mermaid.  She swims better than I do!  Seriously!  It was a great day!

Since I took yesterday off from Mary Kay I worked some on that today.  I'm still trying to figure out the website for consultants but it's getting easier!  I did a makeover on Chloe (because she was so excited to try my new skincare products--pics to come--), my sister, and my mom.  All of them loved the products and I got some really good questions coming from them too!

Not much has happened today.  I've been so tired (from my chest, having difficulty breathing) but the day was great.  I enjoyed great conversations on the phone with Scott from NY whom I met last year and we've been friends ever since and even chatted with my best friend from NY, Amanda.  She is special, I tell ya!  It's been a good, wonderful day.  You won't get much detail on my blogging today because I'm just ready for bed.  Tomorrow is another day though and it's just going to be greater!

Love and God bless!

Oh, also my other blog (which I can't figure out my password to, haha, so I can't update it is...) <Blessing Designs>.  It's my art blog.
